YELLOWFIN

In the United States, there is a lot of money going into the marine and water sports products and services. Our team had done a great amount of research into the market, and we thought it was a great opportunity to design a product for the people who enjoy getting into the water.

Exploring

This is the early stage in out design process. We spent a large amount of time brainstorming different ideas that are water related. During this stage, there’s no such thing as a bad idea.

Final Direction Concepts

This stage is getting into the engineering part of the process. Since we decided to design a floating platform. We had to come up with different ideas for unfolding, folding, and floating the platform. We built a full-scale model of our platform and put it to the test by floating it on a lake!

Designing The Tent

During the testing of the platform, we had two members of our group working on the final design of the tent. We had limited time on our hand and by splitting the group in half we were able to compete for both tasks simultaneously.
